"Playing NRL takes a real toll on the body so I'll usually use the sauna after training and the night before a game to help me recover from the week of training."
"It's also an opportunity to relax and and switch off away from football."
"As an athlete it helps your recovery immensely. That's why I've jumped on with Innerlight Sauna."

Stephen Crighton

"The best thing about having my own sauna is that I can just walk outside and hop in. I don't need to go to the gym or share it with others."
"Every-time I step inside my sauna I get to sit down and reflect on my day. My sauna helps my preparation before and after games."
"It's definitely helped me find my Innerlight!"

Jasmin Strange
Sydney Roosters NRLW
One of the best things about having your own sauna at home as opposed to using other facilities is you don’t have to share it with anyone else, you don’t have a sweaty bench, you can just come in and do your own thing and relax.
I just love the smell of the cedar every time I walk in here. I’m not and it’s actually my favorite thing. Our trainers and Physios recommend using a Sauna as part of our Recovery. We do a lot of training so this is my opportunity to get my recovery in so we’re training three times a week at the moment so I always come here on my off days just to get that extra bit of recovery.
I usually only spend about 15 minutes in here at 70° but I know everyone has their own routinesl. My dad like to spend half an hour in here at 50 degrees.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves
Most capped Sydney Rooster of all time
"Having a 17-year career the body gets a little bit sore".
"We've got a team at the club where sports science is quite important and they recommend using infrared saunas".
"It's definitely one of the best forms of recovery and it's such a luxury for me personally to have at my home".

FAQ's
How do I clean and maintain my sauna?
Saunas are low-maintenance.
The best way to keep your sauna interiors clean is to use at least 2 towels for every session. Then after each session take a dry part of your towel, wet it and wipe the sweat off. Doing this after each session will keep the sauna looking new.
The glass can be wiped clean with a microfibre cloth as can the exterior for outdoor saunas.
Are your saunas suitable for outdoor installation?
Yes our Outdoor Saunas are built from premium, weather-resistant materials like Aluminium construction and Western Red Cedar, designed to perform in Australian climates year-round with minimal maintenance.
Can I install my sauna myself?
You can absolutely install your sauna yourself. if you have the strength and the skills to do so.
You will need a minimum of 2 people, these things are very heavy.
It should take about an hour or two.
If you feel its too much for you, we can certainly arrange installation for you with our national team of Innerlight Sauna installers.
What warranty and support do you offer?
Every InnerLight sauna comes with our 10-Year Warranty on structure, heaters, and electrical components, and 1-Year coverage for labour and shipping.
We proudly stand behind the craftsmanship of every model.

Infrared Sauna vs Traditional Sauna vs Red Light therapy vs Ice bath therapy?
Infrared Sauna
- Uses infrared light to heat your body directly, rather than heating the air around you.
- Operates at lower ambient temperatures (typically around 45-60 °C) so it’s more comfortable for longer sessions.
- Offers good benefits for musclerecovery, circulation, skin tone, and relaxation without the extreme heat stress of a traditional sauna.
- Because the heat is gentler, it may be safer for frequent use or for people less tolerant of very high heat.
Traditional Sauna
- Heats the air (and room) to high temperatures (often 70-100 °C or more) which causes the body to sweat profusely and creates a strong cardiovascular stimulus.
- Stronger heat stress means potentially greater cardiovascular conditioning effects (higher heart rate, stronger circulation response) for those who tolerate it.
- Because it’s more intense, it may not be as comfortable or accessible for everyone — frequency and duration may need to be more carefully managed.
Red Light Therapy (Photobiomodulation)
- Involves exposing the body to specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate cells, energy production (mitochondria), repair processes, inflammation reduction, and skin health.
- Best suited for targeted outcomes: skin improvement (wrinkles, tone), tissue repair, inflammation reduction, and perhaps mood/energy benefits.
Less about whole-body heat and more about cellular/mitochondrial stimulation — you’ll use it differently than a sauna.
Ice Bath / Cold Exposure
Immersion in cold water (or very cold air/water) triggers a strong physiological response: vasoconstriction, followed by vasodilation, as your body recovers and warms up. luminouslabs.health+1
Good for muscle recovery, reducing inflammation (especially after intense training), improving resilience and perhaps mood via cold shock response.
The scientific consensus is still developing — one result found cold water immersion not necessarily more effective than active recovery for some types of muscle recovery. PMC
🔍 Which one is “better”? (Spoiler: there’s no one-answer)
- If you tolerate high heat well and want cardiovascular / circulation challenge: Traditional Sauna might edge ahead.
- If you want comfort, longer session tolerance, muscle/sport recovery, skin and circulation benefits, and home-friendly: Infrared Sauna is highly compelling.
- If your focus is skin, repair, inflammation reduction, or you want a daily light therapy habit: Red Light Therapy shines.
- If you’re into post-workout recovery, resilience training, mood boost, or you tolerate cold well: Ice Bath / Cold Exposure could be a strong complementary tool.
Are Infrared saunas low EMF?
All InnerLight Saunas are engineered for ultra-low EMF and ELF levels. They have been tested well below internationally accepted safety guidelines of 3mG. The EMF in our saunas are bellow 1mG with no spikes around the sauna.
Our infrared saunas all measure well below 1 mG, making them the lowest EMF saunas available, anywhere. This isn't by accident.
To achieve this low EMF level we had to carefully engineer every aspect of the production of the heaters, the shielding of the cables and ensure every heater was earthed correctly in order to achieve these results.
Don't just take our word for it though. And don't take any sauna company's claim that their saunas are low EMF. Ask to see the actual video of the sauna being tested.
Anyone can make a report on a piece of paper, but only the actual video tell the truth.

Can I use a red light therapy panel inside my infrared sauna?
Yes — InnerLight Sauna red light therapy panels are designed specifically for sauna use. They are heat-compatible, and offer red light therapy and near infrared turning any infrared sauna into a full blown full-spectrum sauna. Our red light panels deliver both 660 nm red light and 850 nm near-infrared wavelengths to support skin health, recovery, circulation, and inflammation management. When combined with infrared heat, you get a true full-spectrum wellness experience.
Every Innerlight Sauna is red light therapy ready, so you can plug it into the provided sauna socket and place the red light wherever you like inside or outside the sauna.

Do I need a licensed electrician to install an InnerLight Sauna?
Only our Mali 2 person sauna will plug directly into a standard 10amp power point.
All other saunas are either 15amp, 20amp or our larger saunas may need to be hard wired. All electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
We have listed the power requirements for each sauna on the product pages.
If you need an electrician, we have contacts with electricians around most of the country who can do the job for you.
How much does it cost to run an infrared sauna?
The cost of running an infrared sauna is not very much at all.
The power consumption obviously varies depending on the size of the sauna, however as a guide it will cost between $0.60 cents to a maximum of around $2 per hour. This will also depend on your electricity costs.
When running a sauna at home you generally only run it for an hour or two at a time unlike heater or air conditioner which you leave on for many hours at a time.
How long does it take for an infrared sauna to heat up?
Infrared saunas generally take around 20 minutes to heat up to a usable temperature of around 50 to 60 degrees, however they will continue to heat up once you enter the sauna. You don't need the sauna to be at a maximum temperature to start using it and receive the health benefits.
With our Wifi models you can also turn the sauna on remotely and hop in when it reaches maximum temp. This could take up to 30-40 minutes which me depend on the external temperature.
How long should I stay in a sauna?
This is entirely up to you. Listen to your body. Don't push yourself too hard, especially if you're not used to it.
For infrared saunas if the temp is around 50-60 degrees you can comfortably stay in the sauna for 30 - 45 minutes.
If you like the sauna around the 70 degree range, you'll probably have had enough after 20 to 25 minutes.
For a traditional sauna, which gets much hotter, up to 90 degrees or more, about a 15 to 20 minute session is a good time to stay in.
Just don't push yourself too hard and remember to always drink plenty of water before and after your session.
How long does shipping and delivery take?
Each sauna on our website shows an estimated arrival date (ETA) based on when that specific model is scheduled to be back in stock. We’re growing rapidly, and while this has occasionally led to longer wait times than we’d like, we’re actively investing in much larger stock levels to prevent future delays.
Once our warehouse is fully stocked, our goal is to ship all saunas the next business day, with most customers receiving their sauna within 3–10 days depending on location.
In the meantime, please refer to the ETA listed on each product page for the most accurate delivery timeframe.
