FAQs

Can the Red Lights be used inside the sauna?
Only the InnerLight Red Light Sauna Panel can be used safely inside your sauna or as a stand-alone therapy device.
Other red light panels cannot withstand the heat of the sauna.
Red Light Sauna Panel is designed to handle sauna temperatures and plug directly into the built-in socket found in most InnerLight Saunas. For the best results, position the panel within 20 cm of your skin β either on a stand in front of you or on the bench beside or behind you.
It also comes with a standard power plug so it can be used in ant room outside the sauna.
How long should I use the red light for
For most people, Start with 10β20 minutes per session and build up to 30 mins if you feel ok.
You can safely use it daily, either on its own or during your sauna sessions. Shorter, consistent use tends to give better results than occasional long sessions.
π Is red light dangerous for my eyes?
No β red and near-infrared light are non-ionising, meaning they donβt cause damage like UV light does.
However, itβs best not to stare directly into the LEDs, especially at close range. Most people simply close their eyes or wear light-tinted eye protection for comfort.
ποΈ Is red light good for my eyes?
Yes β research shows that gentle red and near-infrared light can help improve retinal energy and reduce eye strain in some people. It may also support healthy mitochondrial activity in eye cells. That said, use it indirectly, not by shining it directly into open eyes.
Make sure if you are using the redlight for your eyes, turn the intensity down to a lower level.
πͺ What can red light help me with?
Red light therapy can support a surprisingly wide range of benefits:
- Muscle recovery after exercise or injury
- Reduced joint pain and inflammation
- Faster wound and scar healing
- Smoother, firmer skin (boosted collagen & elastin)
- Improved circulation and detoxification
- Better sleep quality (by balancing circadian rhythm)
- Elevated mood and energy levels
Itβs essentially helping your body make more energy at the cellular level β which supports almost everything you do.
π₯ Does the red light get hot?
The red light panel or frame on its own doesn't get hot, but when inside the sauna the black metal surface will get quite hot from the heat of the sauna, so be sure not to touch the metal frame or use a towel if you want to move it.

Where can I place the sauna?
The sauna must be installed outside on a flat, solid surface like concrete, decking, or pavers.
Make sure the are has adequate drainage to prevent any watwer build up under the sauna base.

How long does it take to heat up?
The heat up time will vary depending on the external ambient temperature. As a guide, it i good to wait at least 30 minutes before hopping in.
Sometimes it can take a bit shorter or longer.
It is important to note that you don't need to wait for the sauna to reach maximum temperature before starting your sauna session. You can start receiving the benefits of infrared at any temperature above 45 degrees, however if you enter the sauna when the sauna is hotter, you'll begin to sweat faster.
